Journeys Child Development Centers (JCDC) provides a high quality child development program for children ages six weeks to five years.

Our infant program is highlighted by loving caregivers focused on the individual needs of your baby. Your baby will explore and learn in a nurturing environment that provides the warmth and security he or she is used to receiving at home.

Toddler

Our toddler program we focus on your toddler's growing energy and curiosity with fun learning activities and creative playtime that encourage exploration while introducing structure and an established routine. Toddlers will experience a wide range of materials and processes as they explore their interests, fascinations, and natural inclinations for development.

Preschool

At this age, school readiness becomes a priority. Our curriculum is focused on providing your child with a solid foundation in the academic skills needed for Kindergarten and beyond. Our preschool curriculum is framed by Frog Street Press, a nationally-recognized, scientifically-based program that supports your child in developing in all of those domains needed for school.

What we offer

Educational experiences for children at Journeys CDC are planned with the understanding that young children learn best through guided play and hands-on experiences. Each day, children will be able to actively engage in a variety of SMARTER educational experiences designed to foster development in language, cognitive, social-emotional and physical skills.

TEACHERS CREATE A WELL-PLANNED AND PLAY-BASED ENVIRONMENT IN THE CLASSROOM THAT PROVIDES CHILDREN WITH OPPORTUNITIES TO:
  • Enhance communication skills with peers and adults
  • Make appropriate choices and become actively involved in their learning process
  • Develop creativity and a joy of learning
  • Develop self-esteem, self-reliance, self-regulation, responsibility and confidence
  • Practice independence, decision making and problem solving skills

  • Exhibit concern for others and develop empathy skills
  • Build a sense of community by celebrating cultural values, family backgrounds and individual heritage
